Faulconbridge

Property Focus

Faulconbridge is a picturesque village nestled in the Blue Mountains, located approximately 77 km west of Sydney's central business district in New South Wales, at an elevation of 450 meters above sea level.

In 1877, Sir Henry Parkes, a key figure in Australian history, purchased 600 acres of land in the area. He named the village "Faulconbridge" in honor of his mother, whose maiden name was Faulconbridge.

Sir Henry Parkes, often referred to as the "Father of Federation," is perhaps best known for his role in the Federation of Australia. He was laid to rest in Faulconbridge, near the station, and his grave remains a notable landmark to this day.
